At these uncertain time of global lockdown due to COVID-19, I thought why not look back at Chinese proverbs on building our wealth when the business around the world are being shut down at a very high speed and America the biggest economy seeing a steep rise in unemployment in the last two months due to COVID-19 resulting in lockdown throughout the country. Chinese are more money-oriented and if you're Chinese, then being a 'shameless' savvy saver is likely to be in your DNA. Did you know that China is known to make billionaires faster than any other nation in the world? In 2017, Businessinsider.com reported that China was churning out a new billionaire every 5 days. A year later, BBC.com quoted a survey link by Swiss bank UBS and auditors PwC that China had beat its own record; they were producing not one but two billionaires every week.                                                                                                                                                                                           

So now let us take advantage of this global lockdown due to COVID-19 and turn this situation a blessing in disguises to boost our carrier path and reach the new zenith of our success. As we all have been craving to have more time to work on ourself to hone our skill, to pursue our passion, now is the time to go for it if we have missed the chance when we were young. Now without wasting our time let us have a look at some of the Chinese proverb which could really boost our carrier during COVID-19 global lockdown.

  Beginning with this proverb is more relevant in the present scenario because everyone is lockdown in their home due to COVID-19 and businesses are failing with the un-employment reaching its new peak. Chinese use this proverb to teach that amid every crisis there is an opportunity and it depends on our attitude how we at the problem and convert it into a blessing in disguises for us.

Let me share with one of the Bloomberg's report. An epidemic of African Swine fever led to supply shortage and as per the principle of demand and supply, it resulted in the doubling of prices. Qin was one of the few companies during that uncertain time who were able to reproduce their hog herd and cash in on the crisis. While speaking to the Bloomberg.com Qin said; "Swine fever brings both benefit and hard. We need to ride this violent hurricane out there and turn it into a superb opportunity for our development,"

 what was more astonishing and impressive was that Qin started his herd with only 22 pigs and made his fortune during the crisis of swine fewer. Today Bloomberg reports that the company of their fastest rising star in Bloomberg Billionaires Index slaughters about 5 million pigs each year.

         Though this proverb could be looked at through many perspectives. Let me tell you a perspective which I like the most and which could help us during these uncertain times of COVID-19 lockdown. This proverb also shows how impatient Chinese are and how they move on to the next step after completing the first step without waiting for the result to gain greater profit. This proverb also teaches us to be proactive and says not to waste our time watching others become successful and wishing things to happen to us. Instead, we should make a move and start on our own dreams because there is no point in complaining about how we aren't making much money. Instead, we should find new ways to earn it. 

We should also learn from one their most impressive habit which makes them rich is that most Chinese built their wealth from owning a business, not working for someone else company. They raise their children to either take over the family business if they have one or encourage them to set up their own. While some of them do work for companies many do so to get training and then in a few years they leave so they can begin their own business.

Now before we move on let me tell you that this proverb is a variation of an often told advice on saying: that is, its never too early, and its never too late. This is very vividly evident from the success of Colonel Sanders who started selling chicken at 65. We all have been longing to start working some of our ideas, to make our passion our profession but due to lack of time and expertise we dropped the idea but since we all are now locked down in our home due to COVID-19  we have ample of time to work on our idea. This is the right time to do research on our business idea and implement the same when everything normalizes after the global lockdown and remember this is the golden chance if you missed it when you were younger, don't live with that regret.
